The next animation will be my final animation for the class which will will be posted in about a month or so, unless anyone is interested in seeing how an animation progresses from start to finish.

You may want to actually study someone doing this movement, or do some research about the technique for this particular press. Toward the end of the lift, something seems off. Think about how the weights will try to push the skeleton down. Once he has the weights up to his shoulders, the weights seem to loose their weight. Overall decent work though. I just think some keen observation of the action will really make the animation sing!

I'm not pleased with it because the weight is very floaty in some areas. I plan on doing another weight lift that will be reel material. But I have found something to keep me busy this summer. Check out the site 11secondclub.com

Soooo...I just went to the Oscars today 2/21, and got much closer to the red carpet than I thought you could. It is quite impressive being there in person. Anyway I will be uploading a whole bunch of Oscar videos in the near future.

good josh. If you set your sights high and do not settle for what would just "pass" you will be better off. I hope you had fun at the oscars! Keep up the good work!

Still think this needs to be synced with the audio from the weight lifting event from the 2000 Sydney Olympics game for Dreamcast.

Hey Josh,
Nice start. I think that you would benefit from analyzing video footage, watch in person and or lift and feel it. Still pretty nice man. How are you animating?

I have prospective client wanting me to train them in dynamics simulation / particles animation for planetarium format films. I thought of you and you dynamics class. How is that going?

James and Matt, What's up?

Time for an update yo.

I had analyzed a lot of video footage of that movement and have done it at SC many times. But I have revised it much more than that version above. But I am working on my final animation for the class right now. As for dynamics, we just got into working with sprites, which by the way are excellent for smoke and other effects.
